Art of Football
Football is a sport, very popular in North America, that involves a bunch of hitting with a lot of skill and talent and agility. It is also a sport that relies a lot on the coaches and their strategy. However, The game of football also contains literature. That literature is Hamlet. This game is a game of Hamlet vs. Laertes, or Hamlet vs. Claudius. Rivalries are born every day, and every sunday you can watch the wars unfold. Sometimes, there are personal hamlets. An example is when Andre Johnson and Cortland Finegan went at It during a game. Finegan must have said something to Johnson to get him upset. It can be compared to the scene where hamlet has the actors play out a scene of someone poisoning another person, which causes claudius to storm out of the room, upset.

There wars of Hamlet are not only applied to the NFL, but can be found in other leagues as well, including Pee-wee (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yIfIy3DITEo&NR=1&feature=fvwp).
But the game is not about these wars. It is about champions and sportsmanship. In hamlet, one sportsman like gesture was when hamlet was about to kill claudius, but didn't because he saw that Claudius was praying. Although hamlet said he didnt want to kill him for the fear that he would go to heaven, but we would still consider it sportsman like.

Con artist
I think each and every one of us actually con people on a daily basis. I vaguely remember an interview at the beginning of class with Nase and Prof. Baldwin. They were talking about games and how Nase was playing a game with Prof. Baldwin.
Nase did not read the play we were supposed to read and Giselle exclaimed that Nase was good at playing the game with Prof. Baldwin because you couldn’t see it in his face and he didn’t seem nervous at all. In truth, Nase was good at the game and was in fact a good con artist.
In truth we all con people. For instance, in class we discussed how customers con people who work pink collar jobs. In reality this is a completely valid statement. I have had many experiences at my job-Whole Foods- in which people try to return products that are almost completely eaten and say that the food the purchased was expired or went bad. The thing that upsets me the most is that we actually give the customers their money back as if it is a reward for their cunning ways. So, do we really reward con artists in society?

Reaction to Don Juan
After reading Don Juan it hit me, no matter what there will always be a hell to pay. After reading what Don Juan did, it sickened me. A person should not treat women as if they are some sort of item or object.
To elaborate, I firmly believe that being a womanizer is a disgrace; just as I also believe being a prostitute is a disgrace. It is something nobody should be proud to say they are. In regards to the play, I also believe that we all have a friend like Sganerelle who tells us the right thing to do. Sganerelle is like the angel on our shoulder per se, who tells us right from wrong.
In addition, I believe that Don Juan has no heart and therefore deserved to go to hell; but, I do find it interesting that Moliere decided that heaven swallow Don Juan up into a flaming abyss. It made for an interesting and enjoyable end to the play.
Futhermore, I would like to find out more of what happened to Sganerelle and what happened to him after Don Juan went to hell.

The Game
As we all know, last Thursday we played “the game”. In a sense, the game was the prisoner’s dilemma, and in m opinion was an enormous amount of fun. It was really entertaining to see people at their worst and how they reacted when something was in their way. In addition, I also enjoyed watching people search for items that were hidden in blatantly obvious spots.
To further elaborate, Team B asked me if I would give them a clue for a clue. I said yes, and Rita gave me a clue and I never had the chance to give her my clue. Why you ask? She walked away; it seemed as though everyone was caught up in the game and quite frankly forgot what they were doing even as they were doing it.
Confusion also set in when I realized my team was playing tricks on me because they thought was going rogue. Quite simply, THERE WAS NO REASON FOR ME TO GO ROGUE. I was trying to do my best to help my team throughout the entire activity. Apparently, my wrong move was going over to the other team and snooping over there. In my opinion, I think that’s helping team A, but apparently I was wrong.
I do have to admit, this was an extremely fun activity in which I got to understand and learn about my fellow students and how they acted under pressure as well as fear.

Iphone vs Blackberry
There has been a feud between Iphone owners and Blackberry owners over the past couple of years which phone is better. Some say Blackberry is better due to the fact that it has a BBM chatter. But now the iPhone 4 is out with its double sided camera, which allows facetime and not to forget its retina display, high definition screen, and the 5 megapixel camera with LED flash. So this is why there is no comparison between the Iphone and the Blackberry. Sorry BBM users, Apple takes the fruitcake on this one.
My Father
My father was a great man, he was the best father anyone could ask for. My dad played in the NFL for 11 years on the Eagles and the Giants. So growing up as a kid I was taught the game of football. I've been playing football ever since. But one day on October 12, 2004, when I was at practice in 7th grade for my biggest game of the year and I got a phone call saying that my father had a heart attack. And then I missed that game to go to his funeral. Rest in Peace pops.
Compare/Contrast Tragedies
I feel that in Oedipus and Hamlet, the characters who did the most outrageous things are Oedipus Claudius. I feel that Oedipus should not be entirely blamed for his wrong doing because he was not aware which hurts him more personally and emotionally and that's why he ended up killing himself.
On the other hand you have an antagonist Claudius, who is very manipulative and would do anything for power. So he willing murdered his brother so he could become King and he married his brother's wide so he chose his fate as Oedipus did not.

Systagmatic
I feel that Hamlet is very systagmatic in the way that every thing happened like there was a temporal flow in Hamlet guided by tension and relaxation. For instance, in the beginning of the play Hamlet finds out his father is dead and his mother married his uncle. Which made Hamlet mad, then some tension is released when he got to see his father in ghost form but as this happens he tells Hamlet his brother Claudius killed him and the tension is now even stronger than ever before. So the Hamlet seeks revenge for his father and kills his uncle Claudius.
Irony/Suicide
Aristotle studies poetry by analyzing parts and drawing conclusions. He identified tragedy as the most refined version of poetry. Also he uses the philosophical term mimetic to describe how poetry is very repetitive. He also takes a scientific approach by observing and analyzing making hypothesis and recommendations after.
I feel that he sees poetry as an alternative use of language and rhythm all in one. It is views and beliefs were different from anyone else's.

Binarism
My Binarism relationship is between my mother and I. I'll start off by saying my mother is the most beautiful woman on the fact of the earth and I love her to death. Me and my mom have a great relationship, and we are always there for each other. When I was young she taught me how to do many things like swim and do the dishes.
My mom is my prized possession. I feel if my mom was not here, I would have no reason to be here. I feel me and my mother are a whole.
