R.U.R.

The people in R.U.R. weren’t smart in my opinion. As many of the classic science fiction stories go, you have a scientist who wants to create artificial intelligence for mankind. I felt like the story was leading to destruction from the beginning because the robots were too similar to humans. Even Helena couldn’t tell the difference at first, and I think that lack of discernment led me to believe that the robots would end up replacing humans. The funny part about it was that in the end the robots ended up being the new Adam and Eve.-J. Ramsey

I Heart Korean Dramas (Part 2)

So I'm taking another break from writing about the plays that we are reading for the class and talking about K-Dramas again...

I know this is silly, and I guess somewhat stupid, but it's just something that has been on my mind lately...

So my roommate is totally into these two K-Dramas right now... Boys Before Flowers and Playful Kiss... and she watches it allll the time. And I mean all the time.
Instead of studying, she is watching these dramas, and that all she seems to be doing lately..
Just watching K-Dramas and T.V. shows... I've been trying to get her to stop, but it's getting pretty bad...
I can't study in my room because she is always watching something. Sure, she studies, but that's in between watching the episodes of various shows.
Her commentary is so loud and often that I can't concentrate in the comfort of my own room. =.=
Talk about obsessed to the max....

But what is it about K-Dramas that makes them so addictive??
Maybe....

I found out some great pictures I took 5 years ago. Back to 2005, I was at the Baruch college for an accounting major. I lived at Chealsea area between 7th and 23rd St. So it was pretty convenient for me to walk few blocks to Lex Ave where Baruch is located. But the worse senario going to class was if there were bad weather, raining, snowing, etc because there was and still is no subway line passing east to west on 23rd st. But I can't always take a taxi because it cost at least 10 bucks a one way. So I had to transfer at 42nd st.

While I'm writing this, I'm gonna post some funny posts that were in 2005. I don't know if they've changed or gone. Whoever translate this to Korean should be comedian. It make sense but pretty funny to understand.

Airing it out

So today my friend ask me to speak to some chair in the USG department because its this organization called SAB which needs help in planning with ideas in what not. My friend ask me and a couple of others to come on speak to this chair and try to get apart of this student org on campus because they have a three million dollar budget. yes 3 mill and haven't done anything with that and with me having a lot of experience in planning i know a thing or two about what to do with the money.

We come in today and the first thing this man says is so what ideas you guys have. We all looking at him just in a blank stare like ummmm. He goes and repeats him self like guys what ideas you have so of course one of us spoke up and told him right off the back we are not going to giveyou any type of ideas if your just going to take them and try to credit your self for them because it is not going down like that. My friends and i want to have a direct position in planning these events since they are our ideas, during the meeting we did'nt speak of any ideas we just set the tone and told him what he needed to do in order to get this campus life situation alive again because it does not make any since why you have a 3 million dollar budget and you did nothing with it like come on get your life together. They wanted the power they got it now do something with it dont call on the little minority kids to feed you some ideas when in the first place you obviously didn't like anything we did because you took our club away from us and made it into your own so go that way with all that.
