Started a diet

hey I just started a diet the other day and I am very excited. It is to go along with my new hair cut and new look. I have already lost 10 pounds and I feel pretty great about that even though I feel like a total chick talking about it. When I was younger I used to diet and work out like crazy but since college I have become pretty lazy, atleast in that aspect and have been more consumed in my studies. Anyway I have been working out like a madman and I am pretty exhausted. But I am benching 275 so I am pretty proud. Its not a personal high but its a pretty good number to be hitting this quickly. Also I am almost done with all my blogs and this semester of school as a whole. I am actually gonna go skype. But wish me luck on my diet. Maybe next time you see me I will look a whole lot better. Too bad that there is only crummy food when your on a diet. I miss my wendys baconator =(. Anyway catch you later bloggers.

2 down and 1 to go

I had two finals yesterday and boy was it crazy. One was at 11 in the morning and the other one wen till 11 at night. So needless to say I was at school all day. Which really sucks because I would have liked to just gone in and gone home. Anyway I had a decent time with both tests. Even tho the chem prof made like 10 different mistakes on the test. He also gave the class the wrong formula for something. I dont no, was it a test to see if you pay attention or know chemistry. I think I did well and I only have one more exam left. Awesome I know!!!! Thanks professor B for not having a final exam. Going to a show is way better then a final exam anyway!!! J/K I had a great time. My last test is on servlets and I really have no want to do anymore with them. Its like my worst class and I am hoping to pull a C. i have gone to alot extra help and am making an effort I just dont completely get it. I actually should leave so I can go back to study for it.

After the Tank

The tank was a blast. ALso it left me in the city and allowed me to have a great time after the tank. My friend lives in the city, so I called them up to hang out. We didnt do anything to crazy, we just hung out and watched movies and stuff. This was my friend Katie from High School. I hadnt seen her in probably over a year and it was really great to see her again. Oh yeah, one of the movies we watched was inception. I always heard prof baldwin talking about it and now i finally got to see it. It was really good. I plan on doing a whole post on it on a later blog. Anyway I have a whole bunch of blogs and I am almost at my 50, which makes me very happy. I also have a few vlogs up. Idk if there is a certain amount of vlogs I need to have, I hope its nothing two crazy because I am a little low on my vlog count. Anyway I am kinda rambling, but I dont want a really small post so I think ramblings a good choice. I am nervous for my tests coming up. I have a comp sci test in finite automan and I am really scared about it. It sounds really hard but its only moderately hard. It has to do with the logic behind computer programs and their limitations. Anyway catch you later.

RUR like I-robot gone bad

RUR is the same story as Irobot. Now dont be mislead by my gone bad statement. It is not a bad. Just the ideas are the same and RUR ends badly for mankind. In I-robot their are robots as well. They are not human like robots like in RUR, they are clearly machines. They were made to serve mankind and follow 3 cardinal rules, the most important rule being to never harm man. All these robots are connected throught a larger system. There is a cop who doesnt trust robots because of strange incidentes as a kid. He is ofcourse the main character. A robot is found with a did body and convicted of murder. Even though there shud be no way he murdered the man. He explains his case to the cop, but the cop doesnt listen. This robot later explains he has dreams and other features that most robots dont. Later on with his help they find out that the robots are planning on killing mankind. Even though it is not in their programming to hurt man it is the best way to protect man from themselves. The network that connects the robots has its own brain and has used this logic to by pass the rules. The ending tho is more hollywood as they are aable to stop the robot take over and save mankind.

I had a great time at the tank and I thought I would upload some pictures and talk alittle bit about the awesome time I had their. It was a little annoying getting to the city. I took a train their, but I had never taken a subway on my own before so that was cool. The tank was easy to find I just checked the site for direction. Final Project is ready

Everything is set and handed in for our final project. Now we just have to meet up in the city and showcase our project and see the plays of hamlet and rur. I am really excited. Brandi showed us the finished project the other day and it all looked really really great. Then after the city I have to go home and study for all my tests. Thank god I dont have a test in this class. I cant wait to go to the city, I have not been their in a while. Hopefully the weather is not bad or anything. Its the middle of the day, but I am seriously so freaking tired. I think after this I am gonna take a quick nap. Anyway I mentioned it a few times but our final project was a news report describing the scenes in hamlett. It was acted by Me, Brandi, Chris, Charisee and svitlanna. It was written by Brandi and myself. And it was edited mainly by Brandi. I got to say Brandi is really a trooper haha. Thanks Brandi for all the work you put into the project. So yeah as I said before I am gonna go. Oh yea, I also picked out something snazzy for the city. I hope everybody likes it heh. I promise it'll be very very snazzy.

Final Project Talk

The ideas and concepts behind the final project are perfect and its coming along just great. We worked on the project yesterday. We taped every scene. I even did my hair up for it. Which was really freaking hard I used up a whole package of gel and it still didn't look great. We had a few fumbles and bloopers but everything looked pretty good in the end. The script Brandi and I wrote worked out well. Everyone showed up and other Chris was def a way better actor then I thought. Also, Brandi is bad at editing, but she was way more qualified then any of us to edit a movie. I think it is gonna come out really great. Or atleast I hope so, fingers crossed. Anyway, everyone is a delight to work with.

I hope that maybe the professor can find a way to integrate our little skit into his game. I think it would be really cool if their were tvs showings the news while people were shooting each other and running around the stages. I hope the prof likes it, we really did work hard on it. We plan on meeting up again for any touch ups on it. I hope it comes goood. And catch you later!

Socatic Learning

So I loved that this class focused on a socratic style of learning. I feel like I learned alot about thr in this class. Which I suppose is the point, so nice job. I feel much better at reading and interpreting plays. I am also pretty tapped out of blogs and ideas are kinda just leaving me. Anyway thank you so far for this awesome semester to my classmates and professor. I feel like I can answer my own questions now in terms of theater and the like. I am also really excited for the final project. I can't wait to go down to the city and see the performances. I am wondering if we will see the game again or is that part of the semester done with. Hey I am really hungry so I think I am gonna skip out of here. Anyway gimme some ideas for blogs. Please and thank you.

The realest con-artist

David Mametts house of games was a masterpiece. But what I really liked is that the con artist Mike is the most honest character in the movie. In the movie every character is playing a game and is pretending to be something they are not. They are tricking and stealing and abusing their talents to "win" the game. I am not saying that mike isn't doing this. He def is doing the same as everyone else, the only difference is that he is being honest about it. He never says hes not a con man. He never pretends that he is something he is not. He is just playing the game, being honest about it, and playing it better then everybody else. It is sad that he dies in the end. But that was part of the game he was playing. It was an inherent risk, if you steal money from people you run the risk of getting caught and killed. But he never lied about any of it, it was pretty awesome to see. He alone is the reason I liked the movie. I was not a fan of the robotic, full of bullshit Margret Ford.

The games we play and why

Why is everybody always playing games? It seems kind of ridiculous, but it is true. Nothing is ever just out in the open. Everything is always hidden and given away at the right moment. Is it in our nature? Is it part of our programming. Are we made to always be strategic and always trying to win. I don't really get it, but it is pretty obvious its true. I never really thought about this sort of stuff until this class. And I like thinking about this stuff.

But people are always lying and going against their moral codes and creating new ones that fit their own new persona. Its like some ridiculous struggle with ones self. And I feel like it is all just to WIN.

But what do we win? Do we really win anything in the end of all this. Are their any prizes for this game? Are the prizes money, wife, house, a good career?

Seriously, what is even the rules to the game of life.

Lets rap about mother courage

Their was this mother that I know
She lived in a world that was going slow
A world stuck in the worst kind of war
It would leave her empty and very poor

She had three great kids and thats hard to please
Named Eilif, Kattrin, and Swiss Cheese
She had to provide for them and had to play it smart
So she traveled around selling goods from her cart

Now I know your thinking this story is simple and not sad
They added Eilif to the army and thats where it started to go bad
He killed a lot of things including peasents and cattle
He laughed and joked and blamed it all on the battle

Soon he got caught and had to pay for his crimes
He was instantly executed, no doing hard time
Swiss cheeses tail is still worst then all that
He is shot by the catholics left lying their flat

Now Mother courage just has one kid left
A daughter that has commited no theft
commited no crimes and as fair as could be
It just those two left in this horrible sea

This sea of destruction and this sea of pain
It was only those two left till the solidiers came
They shot Kattrin dead and left mother alone
Now she just wanders all on her own

House of Games... The games we play

I really liked the movie House of Games. After seeing the first part in class I had to rent and watch it on my own. Sure, none of us play the games they play in that movie, but we all do play games. I myself play lots of games, trying to trick other people into favorable options for myself. Its something I have always done but I have improved in college. My improvement is actually based on a videogame I play competively where I gain favorable advantages if I predict my adversary. The story I am thinking of at the moment is the story of how I played with this girl I liked. She would be kind of moody and go in and out of bouts of liking me and then not seeming to care as much and just wanting to be friends. This habit grew increasingly annoying, as I really liked her. So to mess with her head I began to not try to act interested in her. I pretended to be busy with other females and the like. The girl I liked and I weren't dating, but we had hooked up and flirted constantly, but there were no obligaions keeping me with her. I abused that lack of obligation and pretend to be interested in a fictional female who I had made up. The girl I liked asked me if anything had happened between me and the girl and I continuosly would tell her no we are just friends but then make fake stories that would hint that something might be going on. Anyway at some point during this I made a move on the girl I liked and she responded favorably. We ended up dating and I never informed her of the game I had played with her.

Mother Courage.. Are we anti war now?

Synopsis: A women known as mother courage carries a cart around and sells goods and products to the soldiers at war. During the many years of war her children get recruited to fight in the army. The war causes all of her children to die and is also a main source of her income from selling merchandise. Her son Swiss Cheese is captured by catholics and shot. Her other son Eilif is put to death for killing peasants during the war. Kattrin is shot when trying to wake the towns people when she sees the Catholic army coming to attack. The play ends with a powerful scene of Mother Courage having to carry a much lighter cart because all her children are dead.

War does create bloodshed this is no secret. And there are many times throughout history where stories like Mother Courage can touch us and see the error of our ways. I am no hippie but war is fucked up. Yet, I know sometimes it is the only way to resolve disputes.

For mother courage the war was a great source of income but it was also a great source of loss. Its like an equivalent exchange. With all the good things about the war their is so much bad.

War in america has usually brought with it a booming economy. Now we are in war and the economy still sucks. People are dying and the war doesnt even have much of a message behind. Atleast during WWII their was a message. Their was a good and a bad. America was stopping someone undeniably evil.

Sure, terrorists are evil, but it seems like we just have young boys with their thumbs up their butts just trying to figure out what to do. I know very little about the war but I know it hasn't done anything good for us. The economy isn't booming, we havent stopped terrorism, we are just wasting money and young people.

I mean seriously, its just god damn retarted
