Before I start anything in SketchUp, I have this habit of brainstorming by sketching the layout of the design on a piece of paper. I basically write/draw the main idea and then add a few details of which things it must have. I know it's an old method when it comes down to it, like I could type up the ideas on Notepad or something. And it's not only on SketchUp; anything complex like writing an essay will almost automatically make me grab a piece of paper and start pouring ideas. It helps me work smoothly and allows me to manage my time better. So yeah, while I'm at it, here's my "drawing board" for both the performance and the personal space:
