Human or Ghost

The movie we saw in class Tuesday, Onibaba, proves an idea that I have had for long time, that is, in the special setting, human is much horrible than ghost.

We are not finish the movie yet, but it impressed me sooooooo much. I seldom watch horrible movies, but I think the story shows up since the beginning. During a war period, two women built their small society that killing soldiers and selling their armour and weapons for food. Everything seem perfect, they have something to do, and not hungry. BUT, do you really think they are not afraid of killing? Every one does, not mention two women who are physically weak. They just HAVE TO adapt the circumstance, otherwise they are gonna starving to death. So, things are not certain. We can see that when the man comes back, they say they are beggars because they are afraid to say they kill people.

Onibaba is a tragedy for human's animality. They have no name, and they are uncouth and ferocious. We are calling them evil, but they are human. The movie shows us the aboriginal human nature, let us judge humanism ourselves.

I see selfish, avaricious and unlimited desire from it.
