LI Weather

Why is that Long Island weather sucks this bad? I mean I know it's surrounded by water and all, but the fact that we either have two seasons: Really hot and humid, or really cold and needing 5 coats, makes me think that we're not that far in terms of bad weather in places that really have them. When I go to Greece, everyday is such a beautiful day - the perfect temperature, no humidity, no random thunderstorms and rain as is occuring as I write this. The weather is one of my main reasons why I want to move out of Long Island as soon as possible cause I've been living here for 16 years now and I still hate it like hell. Whether it's running to class drenched and stepping over mud, or having 500000 scarfs all around you trying to avoid the black ice, it's just bad all around. This summer, although, we had a lot of awesomely nice days that were really enjoyable, and the humidity wasn't as bad as it could be, so I have to cut LI some slack for that. Summer is really my only favorite season cause the rest are either cold or have some crazy weather events.
