After watching Onibaba, I realized the components of the survivoral society are foods, sex, and war. These three components work together perfectly to form a society. The food creates war, a war creates food, and in food and war there is sex. And in these three elements, people die, eat, laugh, cry, fights, and sleep.
In the movie the basic desire of our being and the society’s pressure for us to become somebody struggle. Food and Sex are major desire of human being, and in the society a controlling of those two elements are the key. To control it, the religion, beliefs, moral, and laws help and if you break these controlling factors, the war begins.
How this movie triggers and makes us to think about the bottom desires in us fights with society roles in different genders and classes, were a good remarks for me to remember that the identity of myself in the society.
