Oni baba was an interesting japanese film. It made us realizes that we shouldn't take life for granted. The film is about a mother in law and a daughter in law who tries to survive themselves through the war period. This film showed that Women are powerful and they can survive life just as how men would survive. The mother in law and the daughter in law both kill men for their armor. They trade all the armor they steal with bags of rice and different type of foods. The hole which represents death, plays a big role in the film. When the mother in law gets threatened to show someone the way out of the grassland, she tricks him by making him fall in the ground. She steals his mask to use on her daughter in law. The mother in law tries to persuade the daughter in law to stay with her so she can have the help of surviving. After the daughter in law refuses to stay with her mother in law, the mother in law tries to scare her through the grass land to make her stay with her. At the end of the film, the daughter in law jumps over the hole but does the mother in law fall in or does she remember to jump?re
