Onibaba and Hamlet
The two women--the daughter-in-law and Ophelia both have the same desires. They both desire to have sex. Although they both have the same desire, their reason behind is it totally different from one another. The similarities both women have is the desire to have sex. The daughter-in-law's desire is to have sex due to the fact that she wants to continue on her life with sexual activities going on. Due to the fact that she lost her own husband, she knew she wasn't ever going to have sex with him... this brought her to think of the outcome and thought of her husband's friend and because he was a man, she was able to continue her sex life with another man. Ophelia on the other hand, her desire to have sex is because she wants to keep the man she wants. Ophelia wants to continue her sex life because she believes thats the only way to keep Hamlet's mind on her when he is away from her.
