Reaction for Roswetha

After reading Roswetha, I thought to myself... there is no way I will have an arranged marriage.. there is no way I am going to marry someone I don't have feelings for at all... Thinking about this made me think of all the Asian dramas I've been watching recently and most of the drama that talks about arranged marriages came from the ancient time. In these Asian dramas that I've been watching, there are two types of arrange marriage. The two types of arrange marriage is where the women are not allow to pick their mates, but instead they are forced to marry the guy who has interest in her. Women has no right of picking and has no right to reject any sort of marriage. Another drama talks about women wanting a mate to spend her life with.. however it is a bit difficult to search for someone so they have arrange marriages where they head to someone whose in charge of marriage and divorces and ask to set a blind date. Reading the play Roswetha makes me feel as if women has no say, they have no rights in what they choose... it just gives me the sense of women not having rights in general.
