Phi

This just reeks of phi and it must be brought to attention. This is known for the proportions.

Juniorette?

There are a lot of interesting conversations that take place in my suite. I live on campus with my friends in the same room, and we all procrastinate and in doing so we tend to engage in crazy conversations. Early today, we were brainstorming baby names for our future kids (apparently something that we do a lot) and I thought of the idea of why there is a junior for a boy with the same name as his father, but if a girl has the same name as her mother, there is no suffix. I honestly don't know why that is. The only thing i can come up with is that we live in a patriarchal society and it was just a way for men to maintain some type of status.

Dude, what is with these clementines?

Have you seen The Godfather? What is with the clementines?
Every death scene has a clementine in it, have you noticed that?
When Don Vito gets shot down, he drops a bag of oranges.
When he eventually dies of a heart attack, he has an orange peel in his mouth.
Mad oranges. What's with that?
Am I the only one to notice?

Musings

...She sits in the other room, with her hipster glasses and her sweat pants, silently judging because she's visiting her boyfriend and I'm just a random girl from New York City who thinks it's okay to wear tights as pants as long as I've got on tall boots and an over sized sweater...

Machinery Video #1

When we got assigned the task of finding clips that had something to do with mechanics, robots, and whatnot, of course this is the first thing that popped into my head. This is the "suit up" scene from the movie Iron Man (not sure if it's the original or sequel), and shows quite well contemporary society's fascination with heavy and complex machinery.

Withdrawn

I have made a big decision in the pass week.
I withdrawn one of my class. It was such a difficult decision to make. I was having so much stress about this, since this is my first withdraw I ever have and this is one of my major's elective class...
Yet, it is already a fact that I did withdraw.
There are couple reasons for me to withdraw this class.
First, I cannot handle it. I was taking five courses this semester and four of them involve projects. I have been spending all of my times on working on coding and meeting with my groups. I did not have any extra times to study the class.
Secondly, that course is way too advanced. I was having troubles understanding the materials. Perhaps I did not have a good enough background knowledge in that field.
Thirdly, I did not just want to pass the course. I want to actually learn it. Being honest, I was not doing bad for that class. I took the midterm and I do not think I did bad. Yet, I do not want to entitle myself of taken this course and actually did not fully understand the materials.
Ans plus others and others reasons, I withdrawn.
I feel some relieves after all.
I finally have some extra times this semester to work on something I like to do.
Hopefully, I would not regret my decision later on.
