3D movies

We talked about the new movie, Jackass, in class last week. The fact that it is 3D made it seem more interesting to me. It seems like every movie that comes out now-a-days is 3D. There are even 3D televisions that people can buy and place in their living rooms now. It just goes to show how much technology changes over time. But it's not just technology that is changing, we are changing as well.

What exactly is 3D? Well, we sit in the theater and watch a movie with some cool glasses on and all of a sudden an object pops out of the screen. We get so amazed by this but in reality, it is our reality. The world that we live in is 3D. We walk down the street and the people are 3D, the trees are 3D and the cars passing us by are 3D. So why are we so amazed that we can go to the theaters and see 3D objects on the screen? I guess it's just because it's a new form of technology that has recently emerged. This fascination with new things. Pretty soon 3D will go out of still and we'll be on to something new.
