Aaron D. Neufeld- BLOG #25- ‘I Can’t-ada!’

The museum project is very difficult. I am doing the best I can and I am putting in many hours a week outside of the class trying to learn to best use the programs. However, having no prior experience with any type of computer editing what so ever, learning to create a masterpiece from nothing is no easy feat.

I keep telling myself I can, but I really feel like I can’t. Learning to do all of this, even with all of the outside work on my own, is like trying to teach myself to speak fluent Japanese when I am unfamiliar with the language. I know I don’t live in Can’t-ada but I sure as heck don’t live in Canada either. I just need to keep working hard and hope I can turn out something good. It’s so very frustrating though sometimes when the very last step of a process doesn’t seem to work and then it looks like I can’t do any of the work because I can’t paste or move an already finished object that I want to paste.

The project is definitely stressful and irritating. It seems really interesting and I wish I could do all this stuff, but without the knowledge on how to do really work well with these programs, it is more of a huge hassle and burden than anything fun, sadly. As the saying goes, “knowledge is power,” so I can only hope that the more I play around with it, the more I’ll learn.
