Alleged Kill Team Targeting Afghan Civilians?

Recently I was on the website , Democracy Now reading news articles and watching videos and I came across a video that explained how there was a group of American soldiers that were killing Afghan Citizens . Personally this struck a chord with me, as I have many friends in the military and many who are still stationed in Afghanistan and Iraq. Although these young men did admit to killing suspected "innocent" Afghan citizens, they are being charged with serious war crimes that will absolutely ruin their lives forever. These young men that are being put on trail are young, some still in their teens and were just taking orders from their commanding officers to shoot a civilian. I honestly think that the reason these young boys are taking so much heat from the government for their actions is because this story was over sensationalized. These boys didnt do anything as horrendous as the Iraqi torture story and I feel as if these things happen all the time in times of war, especially when its not on our homeland. The military targets not just individuals that are suspected of involvement, but entire towns, hideouts, ect where they arent even sure the people who are there are civilians or hostiles.
