Can we live alone? The question seems simple, but is it really? In my opinion, I feel that as humans, we are not capable of living alone. I think companionship is something that we yearn and look for throughout our entire life.
For instance, in the film Onibaba, the older man named Hachi who was on the flatland needed to be with someone in turn became involved with the younger girl. He was incapable of living alone. In addition, not only was he incapable of living alone, he was incapable of living without sex. On the other hand, the younger girl was incapable of living alone as well. Quite simply, she used her sex to find someone to be with so she wouldn’t have to live her life alone.
The same can be said in regards to the play Hamlet. For instance, Hamlets mother, Gertrude, was incapable of living without a partner and used her sex to find a partner which evidently turned out to be her husband’s brother.
