I’m a bio major so obviously i was intrigued by “Fold-it.” Folding proteins all on the internet? Why is the public making proteins when we fund many researchers to do this for us? Fold-It made it into a game, first giving tutorials on how to do it and it progressively got more difficult. It’s good that it is open to the public. It just means that more people have more hands on the job that many of us are already studying. It’ll help us move on in the world of health science.
If I were to name my protein it would be to have a photographic memory. Everything that we saw we would remember and therefore wouldn’t have to study for anything. This would not only make our lives easier on tests and education. It would also help our safety and memory.
