Glass Ceiling

For the majority of the female population, there is that glass ceiling that hovers above our heads. Unfair? Yes. Even though times are changing and women are carrying their own weight up into the society created by men, things are still difficult enough to say the least. We touched upon how men are required to wear suits as their business attire while women have to wear pencil skirts and heels with the exception of suit pants but generally that attire is how women are pictured in, in the business field. Someone said that it's like eye candy for their male coworkers.
I feel this is true how women can be belittled just for being a woman. But I also feel like woman have many advantages. Because there are lower expectations for women in high fields there is more room to prove a point and shine, not only for the individual but for the general female orientation. There is more pressure after that accomplishment to keep up the work or else they will be ridiculed and degraded back to the old saying of " well what'd you expect from a woman", which in my opinion just serves as motivation to prove those terms wrong. Another advantage is the fact that unlike many of our male coworkers, who are targeted by other coworkers as competition, the women aren't bothered because of the general dismissal received by the males so it can be a good opportunity to climb up the ladder while being off the radar. Of course not all men are so arrogant or prejudice. It would be wrong on my behalf to speak for the general population in such an unswaying sense. But just merely saying that we don't have it as bad as many people like to make it out as. And personally I love dressing up (when I have the chance to) I mean who doesn't like a snazzy outfit and a lovely pair of heels?
