Hamlet Thoughts
I read and really liked the play Hamlet. Now I have read it before in high school but it is still rather good. Now we discussed in class that Hamlet's father killed Fortinbras father and that perhaps he was killed as a way to save the kingdom. I could see this being the case as his death though mysterious is not really cared about by anyone except Hamlet. Hamlet's mother and many of Hamlet's friends are not very concerned with the death of there king. This is very very unusual. I can't see a kingdom not care when there king dies. Especially his wife who quickly marries the Cladius (the brother of the dead king) after the king dies. I can easily see a lot more people being in on the killing of Hamlet's father then the play originally gives credit to. Now perhaps this is meant as a way to question the currently ruling. Perhaps at the time of the play people felt that the current king and system should be overthrown.
