Im currently watching Hamlet (The version with Mel Gibson), and it is surprisingly very interesting. Although the language was confusing while reading, the movie helped me understand parts of the text that i dont not understand before.
This movie captures Hamlets madness quite well. Mel Gibson portrays the madness that overcomes Hamlet very well and makes the scenes very believable. Especially in the "play within the play" scene in which Hamlets impatience and mental instability begins to overcome him. Fidgety and jumpy the audience can easily read Hamlets emotion of excitement. It seems as if he wants the murderer of his father to be his uncle Claudius.
