The line of the month!

One of my suite mates asked me "Simon, you have a vacuum, right?" Yes, I said.

He then said "Ahm.. I don't need it right now but I might use it during this week."

me: .... Thinking.... (Is this guy trying to borrow my vacuum? that didn't sound like a question though, just left me no choice...)

5-6 seconds later, me: "oh... yea?!" ...... He nodded his head, and left.

Does that line sound like a proper question to anyone while you are asking someone for a favor?
