After months and months of trying to get my girlfriend to watch The Lord Of The Rings movies, she finally caved in and we started to watch them together. Ive been a been of LOTR since i was a little kid. Ive read all the books, seen all the movies, played all the games, I even own all the extended edition dvds where each film is about 3 and half hours long. It was really cool to be able to show her these movies and share in the excitement. What I love most about the films, aside from the story itself is the design of all the amazing locations where the film takes place. A lot of the towers and buildings were designed on a computer much like what we discuss in this class. The architecture is amazing. The music, for what it is worth, is good too. If you too are a fan, you will be excited to know that trhey are making The Hobbit, the prequel to LOTR, into a movie as well. It is sadi to be a two part movie and will be the most expensive movie ever made when completed.
