Onibaba film first reaction

When we first started watching the film, theres a chinese word other than japanese that showed up in the beginning.. "鬼婆" pronounced as "GWIE PAW". The word "gwie" is defined as "ghost" or it can also be defined as "demon" and the word "paw" is defined as "woman" but in this case, it means "elderly woman". The title basically says it all, a ghost/demon elderly woman--a woman who "acts/turns" into a demon who treats her daughter-in-law harsh by forcing her to not leave her side. I feel like the title "gwie paw" defines her as a selfish and ignorant woman when she has her mask on which shows the different side of her.
