Onibaba & Roswitha (Part 2)

I realize how much our world has changed compared to a few hundred years ago.
Watching Onibaba made me realize how much women have to rely on themselves more than ever.

I'm not saying that men aren't reliable anymore.
It's just that people expect so much more from us now, that it's getting harder and harder to rely on others.
I've grown up thinking that I can do everything on my own and that relying on others is being weak.
Even at school I never relied on others for work or if I had problems in the class.
I was always the one that people came to.

Maybe it's just me, but our world today emphasizes so much on the "do it yourself" and the "do it by your own strength" that people have started to forget what it means to work together and to build their relationship with others through helping.

Does it hurt to ask someone else for a favor or to do someone else a favor once in a while?
