Now stick with me here because this is somewhat of a stretch, but remember earlier this year when a student at Rutgers commit suicide because there was a video circulating of him in an embarrassing situation? This can be compared to Hamlet if you think about it.
The student was overwhelmed by the situation and unfortunately took his own life. He must have felt that it was everyone versus him. Hamlet felt this way also. He could not trust anyone, not even his "friends" Rosencrantz and Gildenstern. This forced him to act insane. Hamlet thought that it was everyone against him.
