Today I finally got down to designing my room with Sketchup. At first, I have to say that I was about to uninstall this program cause I found it so confusing to use its functions and move around, but later I really did start to appreciate it, although even now I'm a bit confused with working in 3D. I designed my....semi-dorm room (it's probably a full sized dorm) a bit more luxurious than most would find it, even though I am a very minimalist person. The TV screen with stereo system in front of a couch on a carpet is the centerpiece of the room, with my bookshelf/study area in the corner, and my bed/drawer in another corner. I put my family photo's around in picture frames, and in the animation I made it pan all of those frames just like if you were in a museum. I'm really glad that there is a large community that already has pre-built models of various stuff like beds, drawers, desks, chairs, etc, because it was easy just to pick them and insert it.
