The stress of flying

While flying may help get you to your destination quicker than trains, driving or walking, it often causes stress amongst the travelers.

I am currently sitting in LaGuardia Airport, with my parents, two sisters, and grandparents waiting for our plane so we can take off and head to Nashville. We encountered the typical airport stresses; Waiting for the cab to pick us up, sitting in traffic, arriving at the airport 2 hours early, waiting for the wheelchairs, trying to communicate with the people pushing the wheelchairs, checking in, the dreaded security, putting your clothes back on, finding the gate, getting food, then finally getting onto the plane. These are always stressful, but when you have parents who are yelling at you to hurry up, but your stuck with handling your two grandparents, one of whom cannot remember who you are, it makes life ten times more difficult. Add an older sister who likes to cause problems, and then you really feel like you are in hell!

I really wanted to throw the ketchup I got with my lovely, but very expensive chicken sandwich, into someone’s face. I am typically an easygoing person and it takes a whole heck of a lot to tick me off, but airports have some special effect that get me angry. Maybe they release some sort of gas into the air and its some sort of conspiracy. Or maybe they release a gas which makes me go crazy and think that there is a gas that makes me mad. Or maybe I’m just crazy in general. My mother, who in this case we can call Girtrude, is the one who thinks I am crazy. Whatever it is, I know I dislike airports with a passion, and cant wait to get out of this hellhole!
