Today as I was watching the Eagles v.s. Redskins game, there was a brief news feed about a suicide in Rutgers University. Rutgers University held a moment of silence for a freshman student, Tyler Clementi. Tyler Clementi jumped off the George Washington Bridge into the Hudson River after being publically humiliated. Tyler jumped off the bridge because his roommate and one other student used a webcam to broadcast him and another guy having an intimate moment together.
This is so ridiculous and pure evil that a person would do such a thing to another human being. Just because he was homosexual, they picked on him. Just because he was different, they humiliated him on the internet. This is despicable that someone would such a thing and causing another human being to kill himself because he couldn't handle the embarrassment. I hope people would finally open their eyes and see that hate should not be tolerated and that people should be open minded. RIP Tyler Clementi.
