No respect!

To continue with my car theme, in class we often talk about how Detroit doesn't do much right. Now I'm not saying they have done much right(clearly looking at the financial situation GM was in the past couple of years), but I don't think that warrant's insult to the American car brand. My reasoning being this.

1. Ford has put itself back on the map, with the brand new 2011 Mustang 5.0 and the new Fusion (2009 Motor Trend car of the year in fact) Ford has been able relaunched it self in the eyes of the American consumer. And simply the engineering on the new Mustang is amazing. with a kinda small v8 Ford has managed to finally put some balls into the Mustang and give it an underrated 412 hp at the crank. Considering it's underated and at the crank the 6.2 LS3 from GM found in the Camaro only pushes out 426. Put it this way, the stang for almost 30-50 thousand less can keep up on the track with the legendary 2010 M3, which is impressive, also considering the mustang still uses a live rear axle.

2. General Motors, although has had some problems is starting to shape up, thanks to, yet again better tech under the hood. GM motors are now considered some of the best in the world. The 7.0 V8 ls7 that pushes a little over 500 horsepower is an absoulte monster, and hand built LSA is one of the greatest engines i've ever seen. The LS9 found in the CTS-V and the new Camaro Z28 also is a top performer in the field.

I mean those are some of my favorite cars, and some people like to say it's to get masculinity, but at the end of the day I love to go fast, and with cars like the camaro winning car design of the year in 2010, I won't look to bad doing it.

now show me kia that could do that!
