DMZ

The separation of North and South Korea after the Korean War caused the creation of the DMZ on the 38th parallel. As a South Korean, it truly bothers me to know that our once unified nation stands divided in the current era. It is also heartbreaking to know that the DMZ exists between the two Koreas and that our people cannot live together in peace. In recent years, a tourist visiting the DMZ area was shot down by a North Korean who mistook her as a spy. Events like these cause deep grief and concern for the future of our nation.
