This is my mom and I. I was 2 years old in this picture. My mom means the absolute world to me. She is my hero and because of her I am the person I am. Growing up she was told she wasn't smart enough for college. She has been an RN for 30 years and does very well using her brain which isn't smart enough to have gone to college. She has formed me into the tough person that I am who will just keep pushing to get herself further in the world. In this picture is one of the many times we have faced off. I was an early talker, around 6 months old I started speaking. At a year and a half I was yelling "I'm not going to wear it!" at my mom in a Macy's dressing room. Through all the fights and power struggles my mom and I have had over the years, we've come to respect each other more than anything. We fight and know how to push each other but she is my hero. She is pushing me to get my bachelor's degree, which she never got. I am pushing myself even further to get my master's degree. She is the strong woman which I hope to emanate someday.
