Celeberties And The Media

Celeberties are people just like us and do just about the same things most people do except that they have lots of money, gets lots of attention, and spend lots and lots of money. They get attention for being famous and rich, and for being handsome or pretty. I think that the public is just obsessed with celeberties and the media feeds it to us because there is a demand for it. Celeberites gain from attention and the media makes lots of money in the process. What I find a bit “amusing” is the fact that anytime celeberites are caught driving drunk, having affairs, doing stupid things (some “celeberties” are just stupid-they just happened to end being a celebirty for their stupidity that a part of the popuation craves to watch, I know we all can agree on that), the media plays it over and over agin as if it something unique and extremely important.
The public is well informed about celeberites and what they are doing. Most people know more about celeberites than history and politics or even the candidates that they would like to vote for. The celeberties are not the ones to blame although the media can take partial blame for it. It is actually our fault. We “dig” celeberites and we tune into “celeberty news” much more than we seek historical, political, and scientific news. We are humans and we like to have fun, do things, hear things, feel things, so that we can feel good or feel better. Entertainment and entertainers/celeberties (although not all celeberties are entertainers by profession) are fun to watch and hear. Whereas most people don’t think politics (it is fun or interesting depending on the person) is not that interesting overall and that is part of the reason most people don’t keep up with it like they do with celeberties and sports.
If people studied with that much interest as they tune to celeberties and sports, then they would be getting much better grades even in “hard classes”. Besides, the public would know what is going on around them if they were to at least dig politics, history, and scientific stuff just a little bit more. I like to watch celeberties and hear about all the drama but that should not be the one and only thing to watch.
