China is a country with lots of ethnic groups. For the majority of Chinese, the Han group, it's not so common to believe in a religion. However, we cannot deny the fact that China is also contains various kinds of religions. Buddhism, Christian, Islam which are derived from other country basically consist of the major part of Chinese people with beliefs. In Tibet, Lamaism, which is a branch of Buddhism, is more often to see. People with religion belief often show their loyalty to their religion. Despite those religions from outside, we can't forget the religion that originated from China, which is Taoism. Taoism is more likely philosophy. It's full of theories about human beings and their relationship with God.
Another character I want to mention is actually not so related to religion. It is belief among ordinary people, or the so-called superstition. It is so common among people in China. We can nearly say that it seems that everyone in China have this kind of superstitious belief. Old sayings that pass through thousands of years are like Bible among the folk. When we were young, we were surrounded by "where there is a will, there is a way". People also told us that "if you didn't listen to the elder's experience, you would soon face difficulties". Grown up in such an atmosphere, all Chinese people have the sense of the superstitious belief.
