In the recent years, there is a rumour at air which says the world will end in Dec.21st, 2012. This bad rumour really disquieted people in the world. No matter where you live, this rumour is talking about the end of the whole world. Most people call it "2012".
"2012" has been the most discussed topic in recent years. And the most important thing is, it scared people. Actually, few people trust this kind of rumour. But in the Mayan calender, the world will end on Dec 21st ,2012, when a 5,125-year cycle known as the Long Count supposedly comes to a close. As we know, Maya was advanced before. The Mayan even had radio communication in the Stone Age, and they were good at prediction as well. That's why "2012" scared people---it comes from Mayan calender! There also a movie which called "2012" released in 2010. Incidentally, that movie is about the end of the world. But this is only version of apocalypse out there. In other variations, a planet named Nibiru crashes in to us or the Earth's magnetic field flips. In the other hand, natural calamities are likely to increase the frequency. These reasons above make people to believe "2012". Actually, those rumours are not truth..
In my opinion, every thing has an ending, no matter how powerful it is. This world has an ending as well, but it's not "2012" --- at least anytime soon. However, nuclear test, wars, wanton exploitation and pollution will make this ending happen earlier. We live on this beautiful planet. It's our responsibility to protect and love it. The Ending is not coming, but it will come anyway.
