DMZ(Korean Demilitarized Zone)

Since the Korean war in 1950, North and South Korea have been divided for more than 50 years. The division is currently located 38th parallel which is the boder of two Koreas. Most of military powers of both countries are heavily positioned in this DMZ area and there are millions of land mines that used during Korean war, still buried on the ground. Also, I was able to see North Korea because it was only few miles from there.

I've been DMZ during the army. The second trip to DMZ in Ewha with my friends from different countries. It was very nice trip to demonstrate about Korean history and current condition. We saw many warning signs of highly concentrated land mines area, and went to the underground tunnel where North Korea tried to invade through it. It's pretty sad for people who have their parents, brothers or sisters, relatives in North Korea and cannot meet them for long time. I wish two Koreas will be reunified again.
