Family Project
While working on my family project today, I found it a bit difficult to use Photoshop at first as I haven't used it in ages. After a while, I started to get used to its many filters and stylizing features, some of which I found quite cool. As my friends will confirm, I'm definitely not that kind of person that likes working on images and the like, because I will still probably color outside the lines just as I did in kindergarden! Still, it was just another learning experience and one's mind should always be open because any knowledge is good whether it relates to your career or life, or has absolutely no relation to it because it can come back and either haunt you or help you. One of my chemistry professors reiterated this, when she said she was taking a graduate chemical thermodynamics course that was tought by a professor about to retire, and thus he cared little about his teaching. She took boredom to this, and wondered why she should learn this. Little did she know that when she went to BNL to do environmental chemistry research, it was full of chemical thermodynamics and she had to re-learn it. I've had the same kind of experiences as well, but the bottom line is that you will never know where you will past knowledge, whether it'd be at a job or just something that you want to do for your hobbies. Never be a closed person!
