Privacy? Really online? In your dreams

No but I really wish it existed. In a perfect world maybe. Okay someone mentioned a guy that posted something on his facebook about killing himself if he couldn't pay his bills and I think his punishment was a little harsh but the company he worked for couldn't just let it slide. That's obviously not something to joke about. Firing him because he couldn't get therapy was wrong but only because they made him pay for it out of pocket. Going to a therapist can get extremely pricey and even insurance companies want a written letter from the psychologist/psychiatrist/whatever after 30 sessions stating that you really need this. IT'S EXPENSIVE! and no one wants to pay. Obviously the company the guy worked for didn't want to either... I think they should have handled it better but posting that on facebook wasn't too smart either. Even if one of my friends post something like that and I've known them for several years and I know they like to joke around I'll take it seriously. What if you were to blow it off because the person said they were joking but they were serious and they just didn't want anyone to stop them... it gets sticky.

This incident didn't happen online but I think it's crazy how quickly it spread...
I lived in Staten Island for a couple years and I really couldn't wait to leave. While I was in high school a girl from another high school decided it was a bright idea to send some guy she liked some explicit pictures with her school's logo thing in the background (with her face in the picture). I guess she sent these pictures in the morning, by NOON my entire school (4,000+ students) had copies of those pictures. And my friend had other people texting her from other high schools in Staten Island asking her if she got the pictures by the end of the school day. In less than a day, a good chunk of SI had seen these pictures. Since the girl that sent out the pictures went to a private religious school she got into huge trouble. She was asked to leave.
