Reputation in society is something that carries a substantial amount of weight especially in someone’s social status. In the play Oedipus Rex he had a great reputation as an outstanding fearless worrior and the savior of Thebes . Until one day It was discovered that Oedipus killed his father and he was having sex with his mother and from there on out his reputation was tarnished.
Similar to this story one of my teammates my senior year in high schoola kid by the name of Andrew opoku was another outstanding athlete and he had offers coming in from Clemson, West Virgina, Georgia, Rutgers and he got a DUI three weeks prior to signing day which greatly affected his recruiting Status his reputation went down the drain and he lost all his offers and had to end up going to Junior College.
