We all know Sarah Palin is a celebirty and an ex-Governor of Alaska who ran as the vice president candidate. It is evident that she does not know much about politics but she is getting more attention as the years pass by. I am not getting at her or anything. All I am doing is analyzing why she is getting all that attention. Based on the interviews between journalists/news anchors such as Katie Couric and others with Sarah Palin, we know that she does not know enough about politics. Many people think that she was not an appropriate vice president candidate due to her lack of experience in politics and her lack of political expertiese. As she was being criticized for making funny/inappropriate or politically incorrect comments, she rose to fame.
There are a bunch reasons that Sarah Palin gets so much attention. She is probably considered a celebirty now because 1) people think she is hot, 2) she speaks in a way that is sort of amusing, to many people, and 3) she uses twitter and facebook to get keep people informed about what she is doing or whatever, and is a best selling author. So the media keeps us informed about Sarah Palin and we inform ourselves about her because many of us like what she is doing, or simply just think she is entertaining and fun to watch.
Her celebirty status took off when she was a vice presidential candidate. After that, everything else was a result of the public’s interest in her. Yes, I also think she is interesting. Contrary to what people might be thinking as a person reads this blog, I don’t think she is “stupid”. I just think the publicity thing is going great for her and she is riding the wave well even as she is being criticized time to time or even made fun of like in Saturday Night Live. In the end, the criticism, the jokes, the interviews are all helping her one way or another.
