Art, Fart

Since I started my Media Arts minor this semester, I often think about the definition of art. This is the picture I took from Nam June Paik art gallery. Buddha is looking at himself on the TV. I think this art piece well represents the nature of art. Like looking at ourselves through another medium, art should reflect artists' true feeling. It's not something you can fake. I remember a quote from a singer. "Art is fart." There is something in your body or mind that has to be come out. Like farting you get the thing out of yourself through various ways. When this process is successfully done, the art piece can be real.
