Craving attention

Earlier today someone posted about how people are power hungry. I believe that the amount of power someone has over people is directly related to how much people pay attention to them. For example, Lebron James arguably the best basketball player in the world. He was a free agent this summer and everyone was talking about where he would go. Instead of announcing his decision through his agent like any other player would, he had an hour long espn special dedicated to his decision. Lebron has a great amount of power over people because thousands of people (myself included) ran to their televisions and turned on espn and sat there for an hour until he finally announced his decision.
