Mac Apps

Here are just a few apps I found that I think are kind of interesting and worth looking into

"Alfred" --> it's an app launcher/search "thing" I've been using it a lot lately and it's pretty nice

"Caffeine" --> this stops your mac from going to sleep.. I travel when I have the chance and watching movies is nice on a long bus ride but having a computer falling asleep every 5 minutes is annoying. You can turn it on and off and its pretty simple, no need to change settings.

"AppCleaner" --> Deletes all the hidden files that are not deleted when you just drag an app into the trash can. Supposedly "Apptrap" does it automatically when installed but I just got it so I'm not quite sure yet.

"AppFresh" --> helps keep your apps all up to date, searches for updates so you don't have to do it by hand. Since I have a cracked photoshop I blocked the app from searching for updates for that but overall its great.

"Bodega" --> an app "mall" not all of the apps are free but there are definitely a lot that are

"Fluid" --> turns a webpage into an app, like putting facebook or tumblr on your dock directly

"iCleanLanguage" --> erases all the unnecessary languages that you'll probably never need, you can select which ones to keep

"NookStudy" --> with this you can take notes on pdf files, it's great for lectures when the professor posts the slides up on blackboard. "Skim" is also supposed to be pretty good but I haven't tried it yet.

"CloudApp" --> this lets you share different kind of files through a URL

"SketchBox" --> I use stickies or whatever you call them so I like this.. you can draw on these
