Oedipus the King.

This picture says the exit can take me to three places: Broadway, Wall Street or Exchange Place. If the exit was fate it would leave me with three possible outcomes. Oedipus had the choice to be a hero( as was his grandfather) even before finding out the truth of his murder and incest. By allowing himself to be consumed by his own desiny he unwittingly forced his own downfall. I believe were are in control of our own fate and Oedipus's parents forced their owns son's fate to come true by taking control of his fate.-J. Ramsey
