Suicide

Suicide in my life and suicide in Oedipus’s life can somewhat be linked through two similar cases. In Oedipus’s case he was given a prophecy at a young age to fulfill when he got older. Oedipus started out as a very confident powerful ambitious man looking for the killer of the king when he himself was the killer of the king and his Father. The way Oedipus finds out is that he is told by an old man who knows the truth and has the answer to any situation. When he tells Oedipus goes on a screaming rampage and he is outraged that the old man would even say such a thing but when he finds out that he was actually the killer and he was sleeping with his mother he killed himself by gouging his eyes out.

On the other hand there’s a former friend of mine by the name of Tylor Smith from my town. He was in a relationship with this girl for 2 years and he finds out one day that the girl he is soo deeply in love with is his first cousin so he committed suicide by overdosing on painkillers this was a really hard time in my life he was a really good friend
