Atmosphere of space

In one of the lectures we talked about the atmosphere and mood of a space. We talked about the atmosphere of various concert locations, such as at a bar, at a theatre, etc. This made me think of what the atmosphere in different movies was like. One in particular that struck my mind was Wall-E. The first 20 or so minutes there is no talking so the movie relied solely on the set design and the characters in the opening to get the mood of the movie across to the viewers. This can be somewhat hard for many movies to do, only the best ons do it very well. Overall i would say one of the most important this to keep in mind when creating a piece of art is the atmosphere and mood.
