Is it better to know your Hamartia?

Hamartia. Also known as your tragic flaw. Everyone has one whether they admit it or not. The question is that when you find out what yours is; are you going to do something about it? There are so many people that either refuse to admit that they have a flaw or know that they have one and dont do anything about it. I dont know which one is worse. When you know that you have a flaw you are supposed to try to work on bettering it. Because its your "tragic" flaw then its going to be a difficult task, but at least your trying to do something about it.

Then there are those people who refuse to admit that they have a flaw. These are the people that are just in denial. Everyone has a flaw because no one is perfect. They are the ones who think that they are better than everyone else because they dont have anything to fix in themselves. Personally I believe that people like this are the ones who have the worst flaws of all.

My hamartia is the fact that I procastinate with a lot of things. Especially when I was in high school because a lot of things came easy to me. So when I had to do something like a project, I would leave it for the last minute. Now that I'm in college, things arent so easy but I still find myself procastinating things. I know I shouldnt but because its my "tragic flaw" then its a hard habit to break. But I also know that I have to do something about it or else things are going to be a lot more difficult for me.
