New York, New Yorker

The image of "New York City" or "Newyorker" are often depicted wrongly by mass media. Rich singles in "Sex and the City" or Businessmen in "Madmen" don't represent the majority of people in New York City. I lived in working class neighborhood in Brooklyn last winter. Most of the residents were new immigrants from other countries. I saw them taking subway to go work in the morning. I saw them coming from work in the evening. They look tired and broken but I could see the hope in their eyes. The hope that being rich, being able to send kids to college. I think New York is a place giving people hope for a better living. In this regard, I dare to call Real Newyorkers new immigrants.
